Painting is my passion.It’s an obsession! I see a blank canvas or a sheet of watercolor paper and I can’t wait to start putting paint on it. I never run out of painting ideas. Inspiration is everywhere. The early morning light filtering through the big oak tree and touching a small rose blossom, the abstract patterns in a box of decorated chocolate truffles, the patterns of light and shadow falling across the porch of an old home, become paintings in my mind. The act of creating the paintings is pure pleasure. Hopefully, the people who give my paintings new homes, derive as much enjoyment from owning them, as I do from creating them.

My family and I live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains of California near the small town of Penryn. I am a full-time artist painting in both oils and watercolor. I teach watercolor classes and workshops and take my students on painting trips around the world.
